How To Purchase A Domino Designer Dog

A NON-refundable deposit of ½ the cost is required to hold a puppy. WHY is the deposit NON REFUNDABLE? Once we have a contract in place for this pup, it is taken off the web site, is never shown to the buying public and is not mentioned during other sales. Your ownership of this pup is protected and honored. The deposit, however, is refundable only extenuating circumstances, i.e., the puppy had a serious reaction to a shot or worming prior to you taking it home or if for some unexplained reason your pup died. I have had mothers, for example, smother pups on occasion and even with a watchful eye and regular checks, things happen that I have no control over. I honestly believe that every pup is born to thrive and I do everything possible to make that happen. But any honest breeder will admit that sometimes doing everything just isn't enough. If something should happen to your pup, you would then be given the option of a full refund or choice of a pup from another litter.
  • The deposit must be in the form of a money order or cashiers' check or cash. The puppy of your choice is available for sale UNTIL we receive the deposit. Overnight or priority mail ensures your selection.
  • The balance is due in CASH at pick up.
  • Upon receiving your deposit you will be e-mailed a contract/receipt/guarantee for the pup. Make sure you include your name/s, address, home phone number, cell phone number/s.

WHAT IS THE COST OF A PUPPY? We have two prices. The "common" colors, solid black and/or gray, $800. The rare colors of brown, black/white Parti, brown/white Parti, Phantoms in black or brown, are $900. There is NO price difference between males/females.

SHIPPING: Shipping costs vary. Flights can be $200.-$350. Research prior to shipping will determine an accurate rate. Most airlines allow COD shipping, so you pay with a credit card at pickup. Some require prepayment for shipping. Shipping preparations, driving and drop off are approximately $200. To ship, a pup must have a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian that includes a thorough exam of the pup.

WHAT IS IN THE CONTRACT? The contract identifies the pup, its' parents, date of birth, date of pick-up. It encourages a vet check-up and allows 3 days to do so. Most important is the health guarantee until 1 year of age. Pups are mature and have reached normal size by this time. If there were going to be a genetic defect it would likely have surfaced during maturity. Should a genetic defect arise that would make the puppy unsuitable for the purpose of a "family pet" you would return the pup to be replaced. There are exceptions to the health guarantee that are not considered "life threatening defects" and they are listed in the contract. Expectations of the buyer to follow through with the itemized shots program and keep puppy on the same food as well as insure its health by not exposing puppy to the outside until all shots are completed as set forth on the Shots Record paper that is given with each pup.

HOW DO I GET ON A WAITING LIST: We don't keep a waiting list for pups. When I tried this earlier, I often found that people on the list had already purchased a pup by the time I contacted them. My time is better spent looking after the pups and their moms. You are welcome to call, we will talk about your timeline for taking a pup home and I will give you due dates of any mom that will be having pups that would suit you. Buyers following up with more calls or e-mails will be right up to date on the birth when it happens!

DO I NEED TO FILL OUT A QUESTIONAIRE? No, I sell a lot of puppies to people in other states or who live too far to just drive and visit a potential litter. Over the years I have found that several phone conversations give you the chance to tell me all about you and what you want from your dog. I can then in, make suggestions as to size etc that will work within your family lifestyle. I can also answer a lot of your questions as we are discussing a future pup for you. This contact works well to help you get a sense of what I am doing and why and in turn I learn about your family. Ultimately I am able to put the perfect pup into your home and in many cases, the first time you see it is when you pick it up here or at the airport. If you read letters from clients you will see I have done well in my selections based on our phone conversations!

AVAILABLE DATES ARE POSTED Pups MUST be picked up by the nearest weekend following this date. If you have a conflict we offer boarding services in a larger specially prepared area for pups 8 weeks and older at purchase. This is an inexpensive convenience for the buyer.

If you can't wait for a "furry puppy friend" maybe one of these loving little dogs can fill that empty place in your heart. My retired dogs are very "budget friendly" and with their quiet mature behavior they offer hours of devoted company for any family.
